When your customer selects to get their refund through Reshop, they have the flexibility to choose how they receive their funds: either loaded onto a Reshop Card, sent to a personal debit card or deposited directly into a bank account.
Refund to the Reshop Card
What is the Reshop Card? The Reshop Card is a prepaid Visa debit card that allows customers to receive refunds in near-real time. It offers a quick and convenient way for customers to access their refund and use it for everyday purchases.
Key Benefits:
- Refunds are processed faster compared to traditional methods.
- Funds can be used for online and in-store purchases wherever contactless Visa debit cards are accepted.
- Customers can build their Reshop Card balance by receiving future refunds directly to the card.
Things to note:
- The Reshop Card does not support cash withdrawals.
- Split-tender payments (using multiple payment methods for a single purchase) may not be available at all retailers. However, customers can use PayPal to combine their Reshop Card balance with another card or bank account.
Using PayPal for split-tender payments
If a retailer accepts PayPal, customers can leverage it for more flexible payments by combining their Reshop Card balance with another payment method. This provides greater flexibility when the Reshop Card balance alone isn’t sufficient for a purchase.
Refund directly to a debit card or bank account
For customers who prefer to receive their refund directly to their debit card or bank account, these options can be selected when claiming a refund, and will ensure funds are sent directly to their preferred method without requiring additional transfers.
How customers can transfer their Reshop Card balance to their bank account
If a customer prefers to move their Reshop Card balance to their bank account, they can do so easily via the Reshop app:
- Open the Reshop app and navigate to the Card tab.
- Tap Transfer and enter the amount they wish to withdraw.
- If a bank account hasn’t been linked yet, the app will prompt them to connect one. Customers will need to follow the on-screen instructions to securely link their account.
- Once the bank account is linked, customers can confirm and submit the transfer.
Funds transferred to a bank account will typically follow standard processing times depending on the bank.
