If a tracking number, carrier, or shipping status on a return is missing or incorrect, you can correct it directly from the return's details in your Reshop merchant portal — no need to contact Reshop support.
Correcting the shipping status can also update the return timeline and trigger a charge reversal where applicable, so it's worth keeping this information accurate and up to date.
How to edit shipping information
- Go to merchant.reshop.com/app/returns.
- Under Return Details, search for the order you need to update.
- Click the order to open its details.
-
In the top right corner of the return timeline, select Edit shipping.
-
Update the Tracking Number, Package Carrier, and/or Shipping Status as needed.
- Click Save changes.
What you can update
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Tracking Number | The carrier's tracking number for the returned package |
| Package Carrier | The shipping carrier handling the return (e.g. UPS, USPS) |
| Shipping Status | The current stage of the return shipment |
Note: Setting a corrected shipping status updates the return timeline and triggers a charge reversal where applicable. Only update the status if you're confident it reflects the actual state of the shipment.
Viewing change history
Every update made to a return's shipping information is logged. To review past changes:
- Open the return.
- Select View change history (visible after at least one edit has been made).
-
You'll see a timestamped log of what changed, who made the change, and the before/after values for each field.
